Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

The UOP is a sinking ship

The UOP is a sinking ship. If you're offered a package, I recommend taking it. Litigation could take years, and in case you haven't noticed, the money will be long gone by then. Without major media coverage and a large percent of employees (deduct the 800 who signed before), and good luck finding a group large enough to make an impact grand enough to cause Mark Brenner to even be late for his afternoon Chipolte. Sign or don't. They don't care. I'm guessing by the lack of specific sound offs in October the agreement specifically mentions online forums, we ARE an online centered business with dozens of paralegals with nothing better to do than track IP addresses. If you aren't gone today you'd better plan your exit plan. The option of severance sounds better than putting faith in getting the option once all the money is gone or the government freezes our assets. Take a que from corporate, look out for yourself and move on. The last 5 years of pits and peaks, scare tactics, unpaid OT, passive aggressive jabs, and bullshit tutorials don't hold any significant value. To them, to you, to your future employer. Disassociate yourself with this God forsaken hell hole and only let it stay in a few lines on your résumé. That's the best you can ask for. Don't be like the rest of them, have self respect, and gather PJ docs-I think I'll finally be pell eligible and I hear ITT Tech is Phoenix v2.0.
