unless this is BS here it is: The lay offs are for campuses which are merging or overstaffed. Directors/Managers in all department/staff if the campus is overstaffed. If your campus is lean and not one that is merging you "should" be ok. Some states going to a state model.
Employees cant be forced to sign anything under duress.

Severance package is insurance that u will not sue. Anybody can sue 4 any reason Apollo probably pay the lawsuit to avoid going to court (less expensive than going to court). You could sue get more money if able to wait a year/two for small payout would be more than your severance package.
