Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

UoP's problem is the MANAGEMENT. As an EA for a couple of years with UoP, I had the opportunity to experience the incompetence of 6 different enrollment "managers". I'm glad I left when I did. I always felt like I was on the deck of a sinking ship. After watching my co-workers get laid off in November 2010 it was all down hill. I too would encounter individuals looking to better themselves through education who didn't know how to use a computer and perhaps couldn't spell their own name. I didn't enroll students who I felt would have better off at a community college or no college at all. Not everyone is cut out for higher education. Although UoP doesn't care about that...anyone who applies and can pay with either a student loan or pay out of pocket is accepted. I feel terrible for the friends I left behind who will be losing their jobs when their campus is shuttered.
