Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

I was one of those people laid off in the this last round

I was one of those people laid off in the this last round. I was in corporate. They didn't treat us any differently than they treated the campuses. At midnight of the day they laid us off, all benefits ended. I have a family & no insurance & no job. My more than a decade of experience isn't worth anything. Food stamps here I come. But one thing I have learned in all of my working years is that good & bad managers come & go & they are at any company you work for. That is the constant of working for anyone except yourself. A good manager can be gone tomorrow. If you don't like it, take my advice & go somewhere else it just isn't worth the headache. Life is too short. If you do like it, make the most of it. It is upper management that is running the business into the ground. They have forgotten that without good, trained & loyal employees, you can't keep a company going.

PS. The college that my husband got his degree at, has since gone under. All employers need is a degree from an accredited university which Apollo is at the moment.
