Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Healed College is a big fraud. I started classes when Heald College was still a non-profit college. I liked the small classes and they had good teachers back then. Around 2008 they went from non-profit to for profit, big, huge change… they started recruiting students, as long as these human beings could breathe they would enroll them, even if they did not have a high school diploma. It was obvious that the school was growing, but as a student it was hard to see what was going on behind those smiling faces. When I graduated, they hired me… it took me about a year to realize what big fat lie Heald College is. They cheat on attendance and Career Services is a joke; their numbers are fraudulent and, and let’s not mention that most of their “potential employers” are ManPower. The Director of Admission would promise prospecting students FWS jobs, day care, anything just to have them enroll and meet his numbers, same thing with the majority t of the advisors. The Director of Academic Affairs is the biggest cheater I have ever seen; he cheated the students, corporate, coworkers, and even his immediate employees. They “hold students’ hands” “they make them feel special” and at the end of the story all they do is to rip students/government off. A lot of the students they enroll are illiterate, gang members, single mothers that just go there to qualify for food stamps and other government benefits… I am not sure how that really works, but they sure know how to work the system. If you work for Heald College, make sure you never get sick because they will do everything in their power the get rid of you. The management will threaten their employees with their jobs if numbers are not met. I saw many times people crying scared to death to lose their jobs. Yes, that’s all Heald College. I am glad that I no longer work there and I think this country will be a better place the day that company goes down, I really hope they do.
