Thread regarding Navigant Consulting Inc. layoffs

There is one thing we do well - it's our bench management. So, if you are on the bench for more than 4 weeks you may as well expect to get that call. It's going to happen on Friday, and all will be over in less than 30 minutes. Return the laptop, and ciao. Some more respectable consulting companies actually care about their resources and they carry them through periods when it's hard to find project and get staffed, yet, Navigant has a short sighted approach on this - folks are just cut to be removed from the payroll. I think we should reconsider our people development approach as well as how we go to market as i am not sure that we underline the skills and experience of our consultants strongly enough.
