Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

I am/was an online instructor who has been with UOP for over 5 years. When I started I was teaching 6 classes per term. Now if I get 2 classes a year I am lucky. No reasons for the cutback, and I get excellent reviews. The course schedulers expect us to sit by our phones after months of not hearing from them. I have not had a class for months, yet today the scheduler calls me at home to see if I was available to teach a class, but if you don't respond in an hour, they give the class to someone else. Probably the granny at the assisted living center that sits by her phone all day. UOP is a major joke, and should be ashamed of themselves, and how they treat their employees. Disrespectful, and unprofessional. They deserve to go under.
