Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

MIT and Stanford at some point are going to be offering certificates. The point being is that online is going almost everywhere. The community colleges are getting on the online wagon as well. Everest online in the LONG RUN is likely to share the same fate as its brick and mortar schools. Of course the LONG RUN may be sufficiently LONG that people could care less. CCI may very well have enough resources to endure a slow gradual death over the next couple of years at least long enough so the people at the top can collect their massive paychecks. CCI simply abandons OVER TIME unprofitable markets by closing schools. The most immediate new unprofitable market is likely California which has banned ALL of its schools from California financial aid. Heald "Presenters" have a busy couple of weeks as the letters from California should be going out to Cal Grant receipients that their grants can not be used at Heald. Those soon to be non Heald students are likely to be heading off to he public community college. CCI to maintain eligibility for Federal financial aid will simply terminate the worse programs. CCI can probably make it for another couple of years but the number of school closures will increase.
