A way to get around the RIF’s is to fire the employee. They have done that with pretty much all departments here. They trump up some BS, and fire you. Some of those folks had over 8 years, and simply got da boot….. At least here I am not aware of any severance pay being given to anyone, but then everyone here was terminated. Makes sense, the more you fire, the less you might have to pay out.
Severance was the last pay check via certified mail, cobra benefit information in the mail, and that was that. Oh, CCI makes a profit on the cobra insurance if you take it. My health insurance would have been 700.00 per month, (states will vary) payable to CCI. No thanks, I can get a policy for around $200.00 per month B+.
You know the point here is that we all know what CCI is doing to their employees. If you have not experienced this, good. Quite frankly CCI will do what they want for whom ever they want. That being said, CCI has been and will be paying for their sins…
