Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Wow, there still seems to be a lot of speculative talk about lay offs but no real factual information. And for those who hope to get a severance package, don't believe it. You will be told you'll get "X" amount of money, medical insurance and so on if you sign a document stating you will not SUE OR TAKE ANY LEGAL ACTIONS AGAINST UOP. Got "X" amount of money with almost half taken in taxes and no medical coverage. Yes your doctor's office will be able to verify coverage but when they actually submit claim for payment, the insurance co. will respond with coverage was canceled as of "X" date. The run around with UOP and Cobra begins. Best of luck.
