Has any one put any thought into not signing their severance contract and speaking with an attorney? If University of Phoenix did lay off as many employees as they did under conditions that their last two reviews were un satisfactory based on an unethical and illegal matrix then why is no one talking about a lawsuit yet. Has no one researched this case: CHAD MCKINNEY, an individual, Plaintiff, v. APOLLO GROUP, INC., UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX or the ongoing Qui Tam lawsuit against Apollo? Does no one understand that a matrix that is based on enrollments is violating the 12 “safe harbors” added in 2002 by the DOE in regards to "incintive compensation." The Matrix had soft skills that were directly effected by your REG's (registered students) where as they did not care if you were managing your data base, or dressing well your manager was suppose to give you a rating not on acctuall performance of the soft skill but rather off your REG's. The matrix was changed every six months as a smoke and mirrors effort. The testimony of a former employee, who testifies that a company official (Director of Enrollment Dustin Phillips) stated that the “performance matrix” (compensation schedule for EC’s) was constantly being reformulated as part of a “smoke and mirrors” effort intended so that Apollo could “fly under the radar” with regard to Department of Education audits and prohibitions on incentive compensation. Get together and do something about for-profit universities that are violating regulations and punishing average employees for their downfalls. Apollo group announced in August they set aside 80 million dollars for lawsuits. Don't sign your severance contract giving up your rights to participate in a lawsuit allowing the company to have a document saying you felt the layoff was fair and just because we all know the company is covering up illegal practices. http://www.citronresearch.com/index.php/2009/03/04/citron-exposes-apollos-big-dirty-secret-all-new-docs/ **
