I would encourage any former employees - those laid off in November - to request a copy of their personnel file so they can see the contents of their record. Even more, obtaining a copy of your performance review will help in listing your job description while updating your resume. These employees will need to check with their state departments to see if they have a right to access the documentation. Most important, the file should answer any questions not answered regarding the layoff.
