Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

New Corporate Changes to Pro and elsewhere make no sense.

So the latest "whimsical "fad" by our leaders in corporate affecting the Pro desk is - no chairs!

This is just brilliant. We only use them anyway when paged to the desk because we are never at the desk and rather working lumber, on forklifts, unloading trucks and top stocking bunks, or covering other depts.

But now, when a large deck, roof, or fence estimate needs to be worked up, its expected we stand, while the desk is short at like 30". So we cannot even see the monitor.

These id--ts also want monitors turned around, to face the sales floor. Why? No one knows. But I guess they want Pro customers knowing the COST, not retail prices.

The people making policy, have no clue about Pro, and thats the problem!

These corporate empty suits have NO CLUE on how to run, or better the dept, the store, or serve customers. EVERY policy they roll out, makes every aspect of the operations worse.

When you try and articulate to them as to why, they are not smart enough to comprehend, and can only make excuses, and make baseless sounds like a pet shop parrot.

mo--nic supervisors and managers simply do as they are told, never conceptualizing if the roll out makes sense, or why. There is no logic, reason, or rationality to anything these muppets do or say.

With no chairs to work, there are now ZERO specialists anywhere in the vicinity. To be fair, there werent any prior either and customers are not getting through on phones or at the desk because we are so short staffed, the PSS are tasked in OSLG, lumber, register, and cleaning bathrooms as FSA. But now, why even come to the desk to answer a page? Theres no brochures, vendor catalogs, samples, OR CHAIRS to even see the goddamn computer screen. !!!!

You dimwits have NO CLUE what you are doing. We have no respect for you, morale is in the toilet, and everyone is shutting down. Good work you clowns. Customers are leaving in droves. Perhaps you want customers to process their own orders. Good luck, and Go Do Less.

This sounds like the movie Major League. Where the owner kept stripping them of luxuries So they would lose more. Maybe Marv was hired to tank Lowe's like he did JCP. Everything he touches turns to sh--..

meanwhile, they didnt remove chairs from millwork, kitchens, windows and walls, and all other specialist desks. sounds like a lawsuit to me.

Another dumb idea by Marv and Co. however, our pro sales cubicles were nothing other than a place for the pro guys to hide.

It’s ok. I heard that the chairs were taken away in the board room at corporate too. (Now they have chaise lounges since they are all asleep anyway)

Go do less.
