Let’s all take a moment to express our feelings on the latest effort by the corporate simpletons to micro manage all of us to death. Yes, we now have a new MOD app that can be used to monitor us all day long. So when you see your managers wandering around behind you like a p----hile in a Chuck-E-Cheese, it’s because they are using their new MOD app. I look forward to the next wave of corporate monitoring when we have drones hovering above us all day long. It’s a great day at Lowe’s!!!

My store hired a felon convicted of child kidnapping to be a Dept Supervisor over many long time employees who applied for the job. As far as I can tell the new position is basically doing the cycle counts and other paperwork that us associates could do in an hour has been stretched to a full time job for the DS.
I was one of the last to learn about it on the gossip grape vine, but Googled it and sure enough there was the mug shot, many papers covered the trial and conviction. And jail time which was shocking light for transporting a child across state lines, holding the child in a hotel overnight, demanding money from the parents, ditching the child in front of a random house in the rain, crashing the rental car in a ditch and then having parents who were also arrest to burn clothes and burner phone.
My question is how does a corrupt or incompetent HR and SM get away with stuff like this and how to you complain to regional HR without getting retaliated against?

I really doubt Lowe's will invest in this type of technology when they are still using 19th century software
What exactly does this app do?
walmart either has started or is working on a name badge that has rfid, movement tracking capability, a microphone, etc. etc. so they can determine whether employees are moving enough in accord to the task theyre suppose to be doing. the mic to make sure you you are treating customers well and to monitor all employee conversations.
this isnt just a walmart issue....its a large corporation issue....as the love of tech, love of squeezing productivity at all cost, love of surveillance continues to grow, the workforce will continue to be put in an ever more suffocating box. individualism will be considered obsolete and conformity the only path forward. heck,were already there. they continue to praise artificial intelligence as a way to control all outcomes, increase productivity, take away the bias in interview processes, but all it ever will be is another way to enslave and take away ones humanity. large corporations are now using AI to do their interviews claiming it takes away the unconscious bias, theyre also now using AI to do their HR. Because we have allowed it, we now serve machines. sold that technology would allow the masses to vacation while the robot did the work. the masses are now being laid off as corporate executives reap ever higher paychecks.
we are being ruled and run by sociopathic technocrats. these arent innovators, these arent problem solvers! they are control freaks.
