Complete tosh. Nothing has improved. Its just the media got wind of the "story" and IBM had to back pedal. I'm amazed the public number is so low.

So USS if the re-org is to maximize Cloud, it also means GTS revenues will drop. Would that be a fair assessment considering IBM’s revenues are stagnate at best? This would seem to align with the CFO’s statement “in the markets we choose to play”. This brings us to the next question. Are the remaining parts of GTS OEM aligned and essentially the OEM statement by the CFO is just a self fulfilling prophesy

I was not affected, I just think they are trying to bring the heacount in line with dropping revenue.

Honestly, the same old trick they have been doing for severa lyears now.

This RA were done to make room for merging GTS and GBS and then alligning legacy business including consulting with fancy name of cloud and fooling Wall Street in Q3 by showing their cloud business grow by 20-30% instead of declining true IBM cloud business. All different business groups of GBS and GTS are getting merge to make it come under cloud business and before that RA was done in different groups in range of 25% + and some small independent teams upto 90%).This 2000 number is wrong number if you look at RA across all countries.True number are way too high and it will come up in few days timeframe.

I know this is a painful subject, BUT if it’s not too much to ask, could the folks who were affected by the layoffs last week, comment as to whether they believe they were associated with OEM projects, Redhat/LINUX overlap projects, or something else. I’m just trying to ascertain if the CFO is pursuing his “low margin” objectives, or changing tactics vs the currently announced objectives
