Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Is there ANYTHING you love about your job at Walmart?

I have to ask, considering all the negativity here lately. Is there something you like about working here? Just one thing? There has to be at least something...

Love my job with Walmart. I have been with Walmart for 5 years and not once have I thought about leaving. 40 hours every week, 401k and Company match and Health Benefits are amazing. 5 years of Service and almost 5 full weeks of Vacation per year? No other Company offers that kind of flexibility. And now with Protected PTO, even more flexibility when you are absent unexpectedly. Can't wait for the next 5 years!

AWFUL place to work. Everyday gets worse and worse. The new key dates are bs and how fast we earn pto is bs. The minute I find another job I’m out. The store is trashed everyday. No one comes up for returns. Total sh-- show everyday. Moral of employees-NONE. Worst company ever.

I love very aspect of my job - 22 years here and I hope to retire here. I know I am not making a ton of money but I am modest and my spend is not that great, I am doing just fine. I like helping customers and keeping things organized, no matter in what position I work I always enjoy organizing things and keeping it tidy. I hope this answer helps.

I LOVE running and hiding from the customers that want to ask a question.

While I worked there I liked some of the people. I also enjoyed the physical labor.

I have been in personnel for many years. Love my job, love the people at my store. I wanted to work for Walmart until my health would no longer let me because I wanted to be there for the associates. Unfortunately I will no longer get to be there for them. Yes, I could have applied for the new People Lead position but do you think that at age 64 I would be chosen? NOPE

The people, I love the people, daily I am amazed of all of the different people. Personalities of all kinds. Some, I just have to shake my head, and others make my day. I have learned so much from working with the people. I have become a much stronger person working in personnel. Another thing I love about Walmart is how they are able to organize major events like the share holders meeting. After going to one several years ago I was very proud of my company's achievements. 1000's of people and it sailed through like it sad hardly anything to plan

I have 11 months until hopefully I retire, that's why I'm still here.
