Both are terrifying to be honest. Read up on some things that RedHat CEO guy has said.
Shaking in my boots and hoping for an outsider.
If Martin-Schroeter, then IBM died (no change would happen). And I probably still can work in IBM.
If Jim Whitehurst, then IBM survived (re-org). And I probably lost my job in IBM.
While I stick to support Jim Whitehurstf as next CEO of IBM.
IBM should get an outsider this next time. I suppose Whitehurst would fit the bill. Sorry to say though that an IBM outsider would cause a lot of HR pain, but they would likely turn IBM into something better again...
What they need is a new board too.
