I would think besides IT and HR, either UTI or Raytheon management is at risk. Depends on which culture has the clout following the take over. This is no friendly merger, both UTI and Raytheon will be jockeying for power and once that is known the losing sides' managers get layoff notices.
I accepted a Raytheon offer. Currently waiting for security clearance to start working. It might be several months before I get the result.
I am concerned. Will I be dead on arrival with this merger situation?
The rich get richer, while us workers worry about our job. Thanks a lot Raytheon !!
Longest period of warfare in the history of the country. There will be some shifts in power and some layoffs from redundancy, but the new company will fight hard to minimize layoffs. They can't afford to, because at some point funding will slow in peacetime as it did under Carter. Then there will be BIG layoffs and they need to have momentum to survive it.
Start getting your resumes ready folks! Despite the hype and spin on this, there ALWAYS are layoffs with these mega mergers once they start to realize the redundancies in their businesses.
Don't believe the hype and spin!
We can wait for the announcement tomorrow. Also, Tom Kennedy is no longer CEO, hopefully that'll give you an idea of what's to come
