Ztx6 is spot on. Everyone is replaceable at every level. That is the SF culture. To advance up the dogshat ladder for a dogshat 7% raise you'll n Ed to show your commitment by literally moving your family all over the country. This is on top of the commitment you must show be learning to mute any individuality day in day out. Sf is the closest thing to a topdown communist regime you can find in the USA.
A career path here is moving your whole family from state to state several times within a few years for the company as it figures out where it wants people doing certain types of roles. To keep things interesting, they might have you reapply for your job a time or two, you know to keep you from feeling settled in ever. They might bring you somewhere and then tell you there’s no job for you actually, after you’ve uprooted already, like a bait and switch. Eventually when they’re done with you as a management consultant, they’ll probably send you to claims to whip you to death like a beast of burden until you quit, since they don’t want to actually lay you off (how nice). But make no mistake — they do want you to leave when they’re done with you.
Just don’t with this place. The brass can’t find their a-- with both hands, and it’s coming apart.
@3ilz - How did you end up on this thread if you have nothing to do with the Farm?
@2rut I am with Accenture - not on SF account though - can you help me understand why you dislike Accenture?
You need to go to Accenture. They are the company currently feeding us all the BS that does not work.
True
Your entire job description/duties will consist of being completely ignored.
to OP: kidding right? For the life of me, cannot think of a worse job with the company. Your entire job description/duties will consist of being completely ignored. Wondering how they would do performance evaluations..hah..rating your best suggestion they should have implemented but did not..
You can’t consult for a company unwilling to listen.
Career? SF is no longer a career. Only a stepping stone.
Can't fix stupid
