Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

My Store is closing

My store scheduled to close! West region. Stock 12.02 after hours trading. Not looking good. Layoffs will come, the question is when?

"No one says which store because, despite there be multiple associates in a store, it usually isn’t too hard to use process of elimination to figure out who said it."

You're an id--t as well! You think they are going to sit people down and interrogate them to find out who said their store is closing, when the store is closing?!?!?!

I see it now, the Store Manager calls you into their office and there sits a Corporate guy, a Regional guy and a District guy, all sitting around a chair in the middle of the room with a flood light shining on it. They all start to question you at the same time, you can't think. You try to lie, but in the end they wear you down and you spill it! YOU said the store was closing, YOU and only YOU talked to someone outside the inner circle of your store. OMG! You're going to lose you job!! What will you do?!?!

Wait!! The store IS closing, you are going to lose your job. Others who work there are looking for new jobs, they may not even be there when the store actually closes . HEY! Your job is probably safe until the day they close the doors. Whew and here we thought you would lose your job for saying your store is closing. No you will lose it when the store closes!

104 is not relocating to San Antonio. There’s a store in San Antonio that’s relocating to a bigger location in San Antonio. More lies than truths are being told on this forum now.

I wouldn’t consider 104 a “relocation” when the store is moving out of a declining part of Houston, 200 miles down the road to another city.

I do expect to see more of this with other stores when leases expire, that way it keeps the Company from closing a store.

"Think about it. Why would people say which store? Obviously they wouldnt be anonymous!"

I didn't realize there is only ONE person who works in each store ::eyeroll::

Because their store is closing, they are going to be out of a job anyway! They never even say what area.
