Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Goodbye Garbage Company

As the 15th approaches, I can't help but think what a blessing in disguise getting canned has been. All the people who said there is life after pepsi on here know what they're talking about. The anger from dedicated (ex)employees is because we operated in an environment where we still wanted to do our best and pepsico is just fine with "close enough". I will greatly miss my team, but as for the company, I'll be having a Coke and a smile.

I left the company (Or should I say was escorted out through a layoff after 15 years) 3 years ago and have been happy ever since. Truly there is life after PepsiCo..A better life at that. I miss some of the people but not the for profit only Company I left behind.

All the Best for those who are looking to leave.

Our jobs should not define us. They just afford us the ability to support ourselves and our families. Rather yet we should be defined by how we impact the lives of the people around us.

Our time on this planet is short. We don't need to waste it on all this BS. PepsiCo will realize what a huge mistake they have made when managed services screws things up so badly that nothing will be made, moved, and sold. I have witnessed this first hand and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Luckily for the company, they still have some FTEs who are willing to fix these screw ups and keep the business going. But for how much longer? I can attest to the toxic work environment and the low morale. Only when this venture fails will the PepsiCo Leadership look back and know that the light at the end of the tunnel is not salvation, but rather a train. This is when we can look back with some satisfaction and know that we were smarter than the Leadership. Good Luck and best wishes for All the FTEs who are still there in the trenches.

I wish I was let go. This will motivate me to look elsewhere. I’m burnt out with zero hope if I stay at PepsiCo. What a waste of years being here. Wishing you all the best .
