What to expect in June and July as it relates to IBM RA here in Austin?

Great advice to close the door on IBM as they can offer no solid career plan to anyone at this point.
Unless you are a very young cute girl who has no experience, then you can be a manager.

It you work in Austin, I would approach Google. As you said they work crazy hours (12+ per day are not unexpected) but pay quite well. Three different parts of Google approached me and made offers
if you are hw check out amazon aws in austin, they have been hiring like crazy recently... better pay, more growth, good vibe overall. they work crazy hours though so if you have a family you may not want to go there
