Unless layoffs happen in your neck of the woods, you won't find out about them. I find out when I send an email needing something from a coworker in another facility and it bounces back, we are left holding the sh*t until you finally find out who took their place or who has taken over their duties.
I wish more people would realize this. I have coworkers who are still thinking this was all overblown and things are already going back to normal. They are in for a rude awakening, I believe...
