Thread regarding IBM layoffs

What's Simpler Consulting?

Just learned of Simpler Consulting "an IBM company" (simpler.com). Is this a pathway for GBS staff to avoid getting RA'd? Or Is it ripe for divestiture? Is it an attempt to get around GBS BS? Or is GBS too disorganized to know it exists?

As in prior response, Simpler Consulting was part of Truven, one of the health informatics companies acquired for IBM Watson Health. If you can go into a hospital intensive care unit and change processes to reduce the infection rate, then a job at Simpler is for you. Simpler consultants have extensive hospital experience and health care knowledge together with use of LEAN and related quality improvement methods. This is not the sort of consulting GBS does.

Yes it is ripe for divestiture since it certainly does not do the sort of work IBM has ever done.
