Came into work this morning and flipped my calendar to June and it hit me that we are now in a 90 day countdown until the HCL wave 1 crashes on my core's head.
So sad this happened to my great company. Sales were bad again this month and the back office support is a fraction of what it used to be since many have resigned and HCL has done such a bad job of replacing us. Who would ever want to buy this POS now?
After 31 years I left for a better job at a small company and am empowered to drive change and improve business process things I did for many years at Xerox ... minus the last 10 years there. Such a shame!
Supposedly my core is in a later wave but HCL is aggressively asking for process documents and questioning who was or wasn’t rebadged.
No one can answer questions from HCL about why we are being asked over and over again to share the same information, to multiple HCL employees. My only hope; if they are this organized about processes then maybe it will take longer for my job to be outsourced to India or Guatemala.
Our core had decent sales in May yet the numbers are padded with large deals with terrible margins.
yup, our core sales have tanked the last few months, I haven't even seen a decent MPS deal come through in months, ever since HCL came in ,a lot of top people said adios!
To all the other responses , you must be Xerox direct people in total denial that GIS now called stupid XBS made Xerox c-aploads of $, we had to make up for all the disasterous billing or should I say non billing that direct couldn't get done right, ever!!!!
No one is going to buy GIS but if they did, the first thing the new owner would do is cut the redundant, non-standardized back office operations.
Your one “core”, even if it is the largest, means nothing.

You are not as important to Xerox’s big picture as you think. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.
Core revenue numbers roll into XRX totals.
GIS aka XBS had a decent portion of that total.
Declining sales numbers in one of the largest cores is a good indicator that they are declining across the entire XBS base.
Back office support makes these deals a reality. That includes making sure that the deals don't have c-appy margins and that they are billed.
With all due respect, anyone buying the old GIS portion of the business would care about this assuming it is split and sold independently. This is especially true if the sales are plummeting and the infrastructure to support the customers and contracts has been decimated without enough time to transition it to Guatemala or India.
No one cares about “back office support”
No one cares about sales in your “core” (except the people you report to)
All anyone really cares about are the CORPORATE revenue and profit numbers.
Xerox’s “big picture” has almost nothing to do with what’s troubling you.
I read that a large amount of people resigning would not hurt the company's stock.
