They’re currently hiring for multiple positions AP Accounting Assistant at Irving location. Should I apply?

Questions in a Post-Pioneer world.

Well, after reading the posts here I can't tell if I'm lucky or unlucky I haven't received my box in the mail yet. Have they already sent my stuff to someone else? Have they not mailed my stuff yet? Will that Dooley person even answer my call?

To imbeils in charge of sending things to their rightful owners perhaps you didn’t read the directions. Step one: carefully place items in boxes. Step two: write the name and address of the rightful owner on a label. Step three: before moving on check to make sure you did step two correctly. Step four: Mail the fkn box

Competency isn’t a requirement for employment at Pioneer. It’s who you know and who’s buddy you are that gets you anywhere there. Look at how well this transition has been - I even have a new family now apparently, from the desk photos I got in my box!!!!

That’s rich! People blaming people for not packing up before officially finding out. How about blaming whoever is in charge of getting stuff back to people. If a protocol was put in place why can’t the returns be done right? So reflective of the incompetence that is still there.

It was rumored, but there were countless rumors. I packed everything that I needed because I was really being hopeful. None of the bosses in our area were giving out information or hints. I got an email after 6 to be at my desk at 7. Good thing I couldn't sleep and was already ready. I didn't see anyone else packed up. I was so sorry for everyone. As usual, the outsiders were even more isolated.

No, @Zkc4vDh-ofi I didn’t hope to be part of the lay-off. But I do live in the real world and I heard all the rumors that everyone else heard. I knew the layoffs were coming and I prepared accordingly. Please explain to me the mentality of the people who did not pack up their valuables weeks prior to the day. Why would you leave anything valuable in the hands of a third party? Was it because you believed that if you didn’t pack you would be spared? If so, how did that work out for you?

This is so par for the course. I didn’t even get stuff that was my own! I got a box of stuff that obviously belonged to someone else! And I can’t yet an answer from this Dooley person either! Who do we complain to when your calls aren’t returned?!

You must be a new “manager” or just someone monitoring this website. Sorry to all who may have lost personal items and were just caught by surprise or just hoped this would never happen to you.

Yeah, the day of the layoff they wouldn't let me pack anything at all and rushed me out of the building. Anything in my office that I valued did not get sent and what did get sent was broken. There were no boxes available before like some people mentioned and I made an assumption that I would be allowed to pack 2-3 if I was let go. Afterward when I sent an email as directed to facilities and Lisa Duley, I did not get a response to schedule a pickup - I was completely ignored. Only when I contacted them about the missing and broken stuff did I get scheduled for a pickup in late June.

Sounds like @Zkc4vDh-rsn is one of the people that hoped to be part of the lay-off, packed their bags and was left behind! Don’t worry, you’ll probably be one of the people demoted next month or have a pay decrease after HR reevaluates those left behind.

Don’t be a jerk @Zkc4vDh-rsn. Yes, we all knew about the cuts. But there was an expectation we’d be able to take our stuff or come pick it up without having it mailed back broken or not there. The way it’s been handled is NOT on the people that were let go. That’s on Pioneer.

We knew about the cuts for months in advance. Everyone knew their position could be eliminated. That being said, everyone had plenty of time to clear out their offices. The week prior to the layoffs, my office was already barren. And they were stocking plenty of boxes in common areas as a hint to pack up. I took everything I considered valuable gone myself. So I guess what I’m saying is that’s on you for having stuff in your office on Tuesday.

Totally agree! A lot of my things were missing. I would rather go in on Saturday and packed my own things!
