Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

M.S.T. Program @ Lowe's

There are too many layers of management in the MST program (including mine), The focus of what resets are to be completed has changed as late as a Thursday afternoon and required to be completed by Friday, The MST's have had 47 injuries since it started (not sure if it was just in our region), The 60% more stock has caused the store to look like JCP a few years ago and Home Depot's back around 2008,

The Smart project tool is not very smart but, nice to look at, it does show what tasks are completed but, still get phone calls on where were at and more e-mails then before the no e-mail thing now all the Market team does is push e-mails from Regional down to the stores. wire?..... open, take action, read.....haven't read one yet.

No real servicing has been completed or will be completed anytime soon. Market, Regional & Corporate can't handle all the changes and it trickles down to the store level, so many people leaving or taking pay cuts to get out of management and Lowes in general. Operating costs may not be under control for some time but unlike JCP, Lowe's can afford the changes for the time being. Right Marv? That's why you couldn't change things around for JCP, they didn't have the money for your great ideas?

Some of the good vendors that we have seen being let go I asked to apply to an MSA position but, they can't take the job because of the pay cut.....think about that.

I'm lucky enough to have a great team, store manager and one ASM so we will hang in there and work things out. …..Hopefully.

The implementation of the MST will improve in-stock availability and allow Red Vest associates to spend more time serving customers by reducing time spent on tasks.

Nice corporate response. Truth is this program will never improve. The leaders in this company are all about making themselves look good, no one really cares what stores think. Timeframes will never improve because they blame stores for not tracking time, when it wouldn't matter anyway...the deployment team is a bunch of half wits moved from other departments. Remember the millwork 5 hours to do 20 plus bays...this Anwar Perez deployment azzhole gave that time frame, he used to be a flooring buyer and has no idea how long anything takes. I can guarantee you that time frames will more than likely be worse after the blackout, because they simply don't care. The company will continue to blame the stores, when it is their phucked up direction we follow. Just watch and see third quarter when the inventory turns are in the tank, stores will be to blame for 5.3....it will happen cause this inventory is going no where. Like many have said, us who have been here a long time stay, it was a career 10 years ago, now this place is a stepping stone to a real job.

Seems my original post was reposted and the info is outdated. Don't have time to update all the injury info but, we are now final in our first real week of servicing.
