To 3bef.....you got it right. This site long ago went from a forum where folks could post things they knew about upcoming organizational changes, to one where apparently only the 'victimized' come to air their particular gripes about this or that company policy / direction / whatever. As 2ddv pointed out, the complainers here are too busy complaining to actually take a constructive role in driving any change for the better. Smart dude! And, I'm pretty sure I'll get a lot of 'thumbs down' ratings here, cause, well, you know - kinda proves my point :-)

The site should change its name from thelayoff to the whinyentitledbabies.com. Oh my cushy corporate job isn’t letting me skate by while I contribute nothing and the new CEO wants to make the company sustainable for the future so my pension is guaranteed, boo hoo.

The 1000k bonus of 2018 was only because of a tax rebate and not because the company felt employees earned it.

@2xox...I presume you will be declining the additional matching money then, until you satisfy your “need” to identify the reason for it?

There's a reason it's called The Layoff.

Gotta give it to Tippy. He's got his PR trolls out in quick response to tout loyalty to the Supreme Leader.

Mother Mutual is not increasing the match out of the goodness of their heart. There is a legal reason somewhere for it that just needs to be identified.

$2,400 401K match coming soon because they made mad profits off the backs of job cuts. Which means their plan worked and those of us who still have jobs should be grateful instead of coming on here to complain about every inferred slight. If you think leadership is corrupt then do something about it, climb the ladder and slay the dragon. Except you won’t, because it’s too easy to complain and also once you start to reach the top you’ll lose sight of the bottom.

Well of course it does, it's all about the power when it comes to ANYONE in management. My TM thoroughly enjoys the power they have over their direct reports, they say jump and we are supposed to say how high and they freaking know it. They get away with harassing and bullying and vindictiveness and know they will never be held accountable. You can't go to HR and report anything HR has their backs, not ours, and the managers know it.

It's like we are standing there and they shoot a gun at us to watch us dance and they know full well they can get away with it because there is no one that holds them accountable is there, you go to HR and you have signed your death warrant and the managers know it.

So yes power does corrupt.....
