Folks learn from the last recession, don't over buy! Buy only what u need, save cash, dump the extras. My cars are used and paid off, now working on paying off the house. You cannot count on these companies to provide lifelong income. My goal to be able to say " go ahead lay me off, I'll flip burgers and still take a vacation". If I hate that job I'll walk out find something else, who cares, hell maybe I won't work for awhile. People it's all possible. House and car are big expenses, go easy on those expenses and you will be well ahead of most people.
Fk all this car and truck buying BS, I am done. I will have one car and maybe a truck and that's that, I want mass transit like other places in the country and the world because this just s---s. Screw these companies. America is so behind in allot of ways it's just damn embarrassing and pathetic.

“Exceeds expectations” is already unattainable. If the CAP system is being reinvented, then the rating system needs to be thrown out.
Besides, “everyone” says that an individual’s CAP history had nothing to do with whether they were chosen to be let go.
Does the CAP performance metrics and layoffs affect the HR group too? Or are they too protected in their castle that they built for themselves?
Definitely at the beginning of 2020 latest. Caps being restructured and everyone moved down in the 9 box to allow easier removal from the company. The exceeds expectations employees will become the average/meets expectations. Hard times ahead with unrealistic goals for the majority. All driven from HR.
Q3 is the same timeframe I heard for the next round of GM layoffs. GM will likely justify with the increased China tariffs and their impacts on GM's increased costs/decreased revenues as they spend increasing amounts on products that consumers don't want (electric and autonomous vehicles).
A friend from VEC confirmed that there are rumors about more layoffs in Q3. Although all are rumors, now they're coming from multiple sources
Highly improbably. We ripped off the bandage all at once and endured the fallout. Ford decided to go the consultant route and laid people off in drips and drabs in order to fly under the media and politicians' radar. As awful as ours was, Ford is putting their employees through much worse by not communicating numbers or timing and dragging it out over a year.
It should continue throughout the year, if nothing else in small doses so the media doesn't need to be made aware.
What I'm more concerned with is the timing of the next recession. It's my opinion that 20/21 will be the year, and if so, were the cuts enough? I remember 2008 very well. Entire floors at the VEC dismissed. Not looking for a repeat of that.
Leaders in Gov & business in the US, please resign if you have no capability to lead instead of layoff people and make people suffer. Please learn from British primer's resign, not greed your money & authority.
