Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

I listened

I listened to the conference call. I heard about actions taken and new tools purchased. I listened as they described the upbeat hopes they have for their new software.

Then I went to work and listened to the customers on the phone complaining about the exact things I heard were fixed on the call.

We all know the calls are bs. Now so do the customers.

detailed breakdown of the call...not the store conditions. i know what the stores look like. id love to listen in on one of those calls...listen to them spew falsehoods and twist reality. why else do they use terms like "customer centric scheduling" its Orwellian language. to the outsider it sounds like theyre trying to better meet the needs of customers....to the insider its retails further attempt to stretch the schedule to reduce payroll. becomes a nice double edged sword...he can talk about customer centric scheduling and then ALSO talk about how he is controlling payroll and the outsider salivates over both because it sounds like he has figured out the unsolvable puzzle.

How about cutting hours during the 100 days? So much so that there is only one cashier per shift at each location resulting in long lines at the front registers and even longer lines in the garden center.

At my store it is no longer a “manager override” since the management refuses to do these unless cornered. We are to call them “overrides” and the head cashier is running all over the store to take care of them. Result? Customers abandoning carts and merchandise at the checkout, cashiers and head cashiers quitting and no one to take their place.

No inventory control. Once something is in top stock we have no way of knowing where it is if it is not above the selling area. With so much freight being received it is being put anywhere and every where.

How about the nothing in top stock decision? Our aisles are so cluttered it looks like we are going out of business. And customers are starting to ask if we are.

Every decision Marvin and friends have made in getting ready for the 100 day has been wrong. He has no new ideas, only what he did at Home Depot years ago. You can’t be an innovator if you are an imitator, and you can’t be a leader if you are a follower.

Marvin has shown he is an imitator and a follower. We need leadership not a sinking ship.

Detailed breakdown??

How about the 3 week early spring store sets from south to north and simultaneous surge in inventory levels, combined with the reduction in staff levels caused a systemic meltdown.

How about a simple thought? If the new scheduling tool schedules help for customers during peak times, WHO THE HELL IS GOING TO PREPARE AND RESET THE STORE FOR THE NEXT WAVE OF CUSTOMERS.

CEO and his gang of newborns have NO CLUE what they’ve done.

Detailed breakdown??

How about 1 part timer with a mobile device to look up an item to see where it is in the giant steaming disorder we call inventory, is not the same as 3 full time knowledgeable people helping customers buy the right items and confidently use them.

Everything about Lowe's now are lies, and horse s"*#.

Our so called leaders, are Busch league wh--es. Pimps.

I have lost all respect, and will quit this corporate job at first chance. After being part of these people's "vision", and seeing first hand how they will destroy the company, I encourage everyone to leave asap. Corporate laughs at employees, and they sit around mocking your hard work as if you are all mo--ns.

They see you all as a necessary evil for their huge paychecks and will cut more of you, hours, and positions at every opportunity.
