Young people needs to consider option outside the oil industry, particularly outside oil service companies. The industry trys to attract young people but milleniums are very smart to recognise challenges down the road.
Simply put the executive team surrounds themselves with people who tell them everything is okay.
In the last two years I am sure there were Halliburton people informing management that things were not right.
It's a good ole boy network if sales and management. This isn't rocket science. Stop laying off the wrong people and stop promoting the wrong people.
We get it you have friends and buddy's you came up with and play golf with. That's all very fine. In terms of business quite surrounding yourselves with poor management and sales.
You also need to consider the number of shares outstanding, the price of the stock by itself isn't really indicative of anything when comparing to another company's stock price. Price decreases and increases can just be a function of investor sentiment or business fundamentals. Pretty much right now every service company is struggling to figure out how to make money because management was weak and too scared to raise prices the last year or two and now the price of oil is trending down again.
Agreed. Many of the larger service companies are working to minimize the human component. Many levels of management have been "streamlined" (read as one person does the job of 2 or 3 for the same compensation). If you are talented, you have better options outside of oilfield services.
HAL and BAKER - currently less than a dollar difference. Wow - guess the market didn’t hear that digital tech sales speak.
