I've been there and it's not fun. But you will come out better and wiser for this experience.... even tho it doesn't seem that way right now. If you work in oil & gas you're going to be laid off in your career... maybe multiple times. It just goes with the territory. Personally I have been laid-off twice in a 35 year career. I always ended up in a much better place after the duct settled. I read a post. on here that said "the worst employees get laid-off first". WRONG! Those that have not learned to kiss a** or s u c k - up are generally the one's who lose their job in these situations. This is usually more politics than job performance. It also says more about your company than it does about you. Best wishes and best of luck.
