Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

2.6 billions in cost-cutting due to Acacia Communications ahaaaaaaaaaa

Cisco just acquired Acacia Communications for $2.6b and that means heads will be chopped to make up for that money spent. Acacia Communications has about 3000 employees.

Does not look good for 50+ and GR11/12. Already heard of potential names on the LR list.

Canceling my 3 weeks PTO for late Aug.

Acquisitions is totally different pool of money. Call it funny money for the purposes of R&D budget considerations. but go ahead and spread your silly panic
