Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

No where is the leadership systematically destroying the company like at Lowe’s

These days there are problems at every retail company, and you don’t have to look any further than the boards of competing companies on this site, to make the conclusion that those folks are also facing uncertainty, injustice, stress, and fear. Aside from that, I’ve never seen a company that it’s leadership are trying to systematically destroy , like Lowe’s leadership are doing. Why do you think that’s the case? I mean we have corporate greed and bad leadership almost everywhere. Why did our leaders take it to a whole new level?

I’ve long thought that lowes could be a takeover target for Amazon. Think about it—home improvement is different in that we sell some many large, bulky items that cannot be delivered in a small box by the major shipping companies. Buying Lowes would give them an immediate foothold in the home improvement market that they don’t currently have.

and who is buying lowes? ....and dont say amazon...its a tired, poorly thought out, simpletons response.

more or less this is the current mindset of retail...force the stores to do more with less. pretty much every major retail is doing this and its not because there's a buyout coming. the working capital just wouldnt be there for anyone to buy out another major retailer. many major investors have seen the destruction caused when even small retailers and e-tailers are bought out by the big guys -- its why a number of retailers have gone under -- debt load do to buyouts. lowes under marvin is clearly charting a two-pronged approach of increasing money to investors and executives and shifting expenses away from the brick and mortar into pet projects like the new tech hub in charlotte etc.

Lowes is being prepared for a total buyout.Expenditures are being cut to the bone.If you were going to buy a business, would you not want to see the operational cost as low as possible?Buyout is coming, count on it.

There's no leadership because they either laid them off or they left. Only the stupid ones stayed and worked for less. Same with Department Managers and Specialists. All the good ones are gone.. They hired a lot who were cheaper and you know the old saying. You get what you paid for. If people don't feel valued and that they are paid to stay they will not work hard. They will call out and look for another job. If you give someone a reason to stay they will. My old store manager always felt you could put anyone in any position and they would succeed. HAHA wel he found out hard way..

Because the stock price is going up regardless and they are taking credit for an up economy. You know, just like realtors are doing with home sales.
