7% is very low. It used to be at least 10%

Health insurance for a family is around $900 a month here, it's very expensive if your a contract employee.

Hey, how about this, throw a fit because you think are you are THAT good and walk out. Let me know which McDonald's you'll be working in your next job and get used to "Can I take your order please". I'm sure they will see your immense talent and value...you may even a parking spot near the door for being Employee of the Month!

GM employees are something else. It explains why most companies on the outside don't want anything to do with them.

7% is the max... I was a manager for six months.

It is not easy to give a 7% raise, the Director has to approve.

362 dollars a week !! Here is the UK we get the equivalent of 90 dollars per week for unemployment. When did the US become a socialist country?

Do not let the door hit you in the a–. Who and the Hell hired you? You both should be escorted.

You are already overpaid. Stop being greedy as there is no way in hell you could get the money you make at GM outside. But give it a shot if you think you can.

got the same 7% from 7B to 7A. seems to be standard if you're in the middle of the 9 box.

Not sure. They say the largest raises are for the lowest paid, but still worthwhile performers. As you approach fair market, your percentage decreases.

When I was at GM, a respectably paid contract, I had a handful of increases over the years. 25% raise one, 20% raise two, 27% raise three, and a tiny 5% for raise four as I approached cap. It wasn't annual, and maybe I was underpaid, or maybe not, but I appreciated my wage, and made incremental steps towards reaching billing cap minus house profit. I was not in a cheap billing rate field.

Ironically, when laid off, I went to a company that made GMs rate look like they weren't even serious. They came in about 58% higher with wage and silly benefits. Thank you GM, you did me a favor.

You may not want to ask this here....so many of us laid off would be grateful to still have a job and getting a raise rather than 362 dollars a week in unemployment
