I'm currently juggling my job at Walmart with another one and I know of people who are working three jobs right now just to make ends meat.
How many people here are forced to do the same?

Im a o/n support, ogp associate, csm, cashier, stocker, mod team supervisor, frozen and dairy associate
You arent forced to do anything. You had every opportunity to do well in highschool and go to college and get a degree and get a better job. you have free college now with Walmart. Are you suing it? How many hours of television do you watch and how many hours do you spend farting off? I know so many people who cry about not getting paid well, butt hey spent so much time getting drunk in highschool and after highschool instead of getting educated. Stop blaming others for your failings.
How can you be struggling to make ends meat? Just buy ham.
@ mky - They say the truth will set you free.
Apparently the stores had the associates put in their availability and the schedules were 'kinda' built around that. I am hearing it is going away with basically what you described - you will work when we tell you. So basically screw your life/work balance. (Can someone confirm this?)
Associates also doing the jobs of 2 or 3 people because stores are basically running on skeleton crews.
Can't see how people want to work their unless they are that desperate or live in low population areas where there is nothing else.
Many stores have a > 100% turnover rate. Not sure how that can even happen.
We've been hearing all about Patriot Act and National Security and Fighting Terrorism for years----but this business of American people unable to secure real employment with real wages is kind of an unspoken, pushed aside version of national IN security, isn't it?
Yeah, I remember seeing that when I worked for that slave shop. And I remember too how management would harrass, write up and fire all these young, single mothers who were juggling all these different schedules that WM wouldn't work with. They'd say 'Well, we come before anything else. WE hired you to work for US.' Between that and babysitters who don't work for WM not accomodating all these yo yo schedules, it creates a culture of government assistance.
To all the nay-sayers who will probably line up to slam me for speaking the truth on this......F--- YOU in advance! :)
Everyone!
