Excerpt from the Dallas Morning News:

"In offices across from Seattle's Boeing Field, recent college graduates employed by the Indian software developer HCL Technologies Ltd. occupied several rows of desks, said Mark Rabin, a former Boeing software engineer who worked in a flight-test group that supported the Max.

The coders from HCL were typically designing to specifications set by Boeing. Still, "it was controversial because it was far less efficient than Boeing engineers just writing the code," Rabin said. Frequently, he recalled, "it took many rounds going back and forth because the code was not done correctly."

The truly amazing, startling and sad thing is that no one is surprised or alarmed. I've seen other articles on this story, but no one seems shocked. People died, God know how many other disaster are waiting down the line. All just to save a few pennies. I hope justice is severed. Must have been a horrible way to die. They knew it was coming, and felt everything. I wonder if the folks at Boeing lost any sleep over this? Monsters, truly Monsters. Yet they lock up other men for more trivial things.

Pepsi is suffering from the same issues. However, the leadership team has accepted the lower quality and higher risk in favor of propping up the stock price. Even when the companies support systems are collapsing, they are still staying the course. Disgusting.

Why are you surprised?

This is what happens to unfettered capitalism.

The business cuts corners in order to make a cheaper product so that they can make more money and in the process, only a couple hundred people die.

HCL was sued over H-1B visa misuse, hiring bias against Americans... its in courts now... they brought in 11K Indians over last 3 years and are systematically laying off Non-H1B folk...

Thir labor selection and retention practices are Medieval and Mercantilist...

The pattern repeats here at Pepsi...
