GE Greenville Corruption Investigated

GE executive HR has accepted evidence and are concluding their fact finding investigations into corruption at GE Greenville. Acceptance of significant gifts from vendors for purchase orders are the primary focus. GE managers on both the manufacturing side and engineering side have been named and conclusive evidence have been obtained and reviewed by GE attorneys. Also, several Senior Engineers have been named who have received gifts which violated GE’s vendor/employee gift acceptance policies. Some terminations will occur while minor violations will result in disciplinary actions. This is both good news and bad news for GE. The good news is some of the corruption has been identified and will soon be eliminated. The bad news is the corruption is wide spread and some are expected to survive this investigation due to insufficient evidence. The survivors will be monitored closely and hopefully will be terminated soon.

This is still continuing at other GE Facilities such as GE Elano

The topic of GE vendor improprieties in Greenville is definitely not a fun topic. And the investigation continues so the story has not run its course. Formal complaints from two independent second tier vendors have documented the pay for play request from GE's prime vendor. The current question is did the GE manager know anything about the pay for play policy of the primary vendor.

Looks like the corruption investigation is a little bigger than GE Greenville vendor transactions that occur under the table. One specific vendor in Greenville has been classified as preferred and procures other second tier vendors. In order for second tier vendors to be successful there are secret payments being made to the first tier vendor. AM needs to be shown the gate.

This being true does not surprise me. Some vendors have been the successful bidder for decades.

Looks like the GE manager that sold his house to a vendor for much higher than market value could be easily discovered. I have one suspect on the manufacturing side that I'm looking up online. If I find he did this I will report to GE HR so fast his head will spin. This guy is the most arrogant, worthless, employee / manager I have ever met. Maybe hard to prove but I want this to at least be in his file.

Two terminations in Greenville have been executed due to vendor kickbacks.

9/10 threads are like that. It's more of a lunch table BS session than anything else.

Well, its been 3 weeks and I don't see any terminations, I haven't read anything on WYFF, and I haven't even been brought into a HR reminder to turn down gifts from vendors.
If you are going to post false rumors, at least note it at the top.

I can think of several vendors in a Greenville that are always more expensive than their competitors and their customer service is horrible. In addition to bad customer service they have adopted the same arrogance as their GE manager. Definite red flags.

Read the content rules. Names are not allowed on this forum. Also, Greenville does not have a parasitic union.

Or maybe just because names are not allowed on anonymous forum board.

Ever wonder why the people posting here don’t post the names of the people that supposedly accepted the gifts??... because this is all fake news... probably the product of some loser trying to stir the pot.

Some of the more arrogant individuals in Greenville are worst offenders. I know arrogance is typical GE culture but there are some individuals that immediately come to mind when you think of arrogance. They are arrogant and thought they would never be caught. I hope their faces and names are plastered on the news wearing handcuffs.

A Greenville SPB manager sold his private home to a GE vendor for unbelievable amount of money above market value. This vendor is still considered preferred to this day.

None of the suspects in this investigation are executive band. All are senior professional band. There were some major monetary transfers from many years of purchase orders. The smaller ones are golf games and tickets to events and will result in disciplinary actions. The major monetary transfers will result in termination and/or criminal prosecution.

Anyone want to elaborate on this post? Was this at EB, SEB or plain ole SPB level? Casting houses involved? Small time stuff like comped tickets to games/concerts or real money exchanging hands?

We talked briefly about this corruption in our meeting yesterday. Details are being kept secret. My manager suspects GE will prosecute aggressively.

When you have a 39 year old homewrecker at the helm, what do you expect.

More to come until someone decides to do a full clean up of leadership.

Good employees were were impacted by layoffs shortly after challenging vendor/employee relationship concerns. Most employees know to keep their mouth shut if they value their career. These people are highly embedded within the buddy system. Some are considered "critical to business" and have been considered role models for many years. I doubt GE will do anything about it. GE looks the other way when individuals successfully convince leadership of their importance. The gift of gab is valued more than actual results.

@uno, getting rid of the good ole boy club in Greenville is critical to GE’s success. New employees do not have a chance against this powerful group. We understand that GE’s corporate culture created the need for this group to form and promote each other’s survival. The buddy system was formed in an effort to survive the constantly revolving GE layoffs. The lay-off corporate culture needs to change and the buddy system needs to be destroyed.

Finally, ain't no honor among thieves. GE Greenville welcomes and promotes the uneducated ,Make a joke of the people who actually carry the work load and if a manager actually is hands on and leads from the front these a-- clowns ( other GE management) can't wait to fire them. This culture is what has made GE Greenville a sad disgusting place to work.

The typical corporate mindset, "Do as I say, not as I do". Just because GE preaches integrity, doesn't mean "They" have any. Changing the culture at GE will be impossible without getting rid of all the SEB's and above, anyone that's been through Cretonville, and sc-apping the unions. Make people actually do the job they were hired for, get rid of the good ole boy clubs, stop the nepotism, and just hold employees (all, not just blue collar) accountable for their actions. And the list goes on .....
