Is it true? if a pcsm is staffed at your store then the staff rph got axed so the displaced pcsm can take the place? im hearing this in the houston area..

I’m in Texas and I was a pharmacy manager. The PCSM based out of our store was spared but I was cut. I have learned that the PCSM is now the pharmacy manager.
Something doesn’t seem right. Are there any who would be willing to pursue this legally? I’d like to speak to a lawyer soon, and have some other experiences to back mine and see if we can build a case.
PCSM is like the immunization expert and clinical
service specialist; for instance if you have questions about immunizations you would call PCSM or any questions about the basic screenings or adherence you would call PCSM. Same degree as a staff pharmacist; not sure or rmr how these people were chosen for that position. b---s--- email “they were vital to the company”. And yes the PCSM was at my home store. And yes the PCSM was given the opportunity to take the offer or declined it AND yes the PCSM knew it would be MY position he/she would be replacing BUT still took it anyways. If he/she was an honest person he/she should have done the right thing and declined it. It is completely unfair.
how do you become a pcsm
what does a pscm do that a staff pharmacist does not do and what the heck is it. DOES IT require a doctorate?
True. I personally don’t think a staff Rph should be sacrificed for a PCSM, especially if the staff has been there longer. If I were a PCSM, I would feel supremely awful for taking someone else’s job, especially without a respectful reach out to that person.

Rph= registered pharmacist
Pcsm =pharmacy clinical services manager and they are registered pharmacist. This is indeed happening. In most cases the pcsm is only stepped down to a staff position and the staff pharmacist is fired. However is some instances the pcsm is fired altogether. My friend a pcsm for 5 years was fired Monday. Given no explanation, just told to turn in her laptop, badge and discount card.

Think those are Walmart Pharmacy positions, they are having huge layoff today. Don’t know about rph, but PCSM should stand for pharmacy clinical services manager.
