"...They aren’t going to cut booksellers. They all already make barely minimum wage. They’re going to end up cutting the asshats who showed the February 2018 M---acre people the door. DMs. RVPs. Middle management. Good riddance too. What do they even do?!"

That's my take as well. When I left, most times of the day we were on minimum staffing, with the MOD filling in all over the place. Assuming the Elliott Management deal goes through, there will be plenty of firings, but most of them will be DM and above--BN has always been top-heavy with useless middle and upper management. Because of this, booksellers are probably safe for now--you can't get blood out of a stone. It's also possible that a lot of ASMs might get the chop, since most stores don't need two of them.

Frank has been on a store tour visit for the last 9 months! This isn’t new. It’s part of his job. Good grief. Stop spreading panic and fear into current employees. They aren’t going to cut booksellers. They all already make barely minimum wage. They’re going to end up cutting the asshats who showed the February 2018 M---acre people the door. DMs. RVPs. Middle management. Good riddance too. What do they even do?!

“Frank Morbito is visiting stores. There is no CEO. The deal isn't through yet, so this is just more of the same BS about B&N.”

BN is all about BS.

OBVIOUSLY,There’s something up.

Why else visit stores being sold?

I bet they'll be closing most of the big stores. They just aren't making the money anymore.

BN is the queen of spreading rumors.

People are going to lose their jobs. Hopefully it’ll be those who let the February 2018 bunch go & escorted them out the door.

Sh-- isn’t being made up.

If you think your job is safe, you’re making sh-- up.

Visits are happening but not by the CEO. More like by Frank Morbito. The sale isn’t even completed yet and won’t be until January. Anything could happen between now and then, as it relates to the sale. Stop spreading rumors and posting them as fact. Fact is, no one know what’s going to happen and BN has already proven they don’t care about its employees.
