@ZDbsTwG-4nql, Ashford University was a scam from the start, when the horn player bought up the school for its accreditation and the pastoral backdrop.

I was an Enrollment Advisor/Sales Rep at Ashford for five months back in 2008 when the company was skyrocketing. I HATED that job; enrolling people who I knew were too dumb to succeed in college was stressful, unrewarding and made me feel like a conman. I was looking for another job the whole time I was there. I mentioned that to a coworker and she told our boss I was job hunting...I got fired the very next day.

Since 2008 I've been telling people what pieces of $h!+ Ashford University's leadership is but nobody listened. It took a while but they finally got what's coming to them and I am happy, happy, happy. It's just too bad the POS people I worked with in 2008 cashed out and ran off long ago, leaving others holding the bag.

Moving to AZ won't change a thing because the same POS people still work there. All they've done is rearrange their geography, not their filthy culture.

They're making changes that were overdue. Why pay a 40% salary premium in California when you can get the same skill set in business friendly Arizona.

It's harsh but it's the reality. Moving those 250 jobs to Arizona should save $7M per year. And inject new people into the company who will perform better. That's 7% of the current stock market cap, it's significant and needed.

This is a profit-making business, at least in theory. How far do the cuts need to go to do so, who knows? Sounds like the next quarter is already a bloodbath. Stock price is $3.55. It was $7.50 on January 2nd.
