Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Another shining example of PepsiCo incompetence, this time in France

For those who read French: http://www.leparisien.fr/societe/tropicana-passe-aux-emballages-plastique-des-consommateurs-appellent-au-boycott-19-06-2019-8096538.php

Pepsico's wonderful display of PwP by moving Tropicana into plastic-only bottles at a time when the world over is trying to reduce plastic! This aside, by moving from juice cartons and into plastic bottles, PEP will be reducing the juice quantity from 1 litre, down to 900 mL and increasing the price 1.87 to 2.59!

With clever marketing, it could be a good return, but the reality is that shelf space in European super markets is so crowded with so many competing juices that this is unlikely to yield much on the bottom line.

Hashtag boycot calls brewing up!

and this for juice that can be years old before bottling , has come by ships from Brasil , where some pulp is added that comes from Florida , freezed in and stored for years . Added some restoratives to make it taste better again . And sold and promoted as a product that comes almost fresh from the tree to your breakfast table. What a fraud.

This is a good move, the oceans need more plastic floating around in them

Just like a few years ago the CPG marketing experts redesigned the Tropicana packaging and made it look like cheap generic government surplus orange juice , while still charging a premium price , it was a huge bomb from day 1. It lasted about 4 weeks and they scrambled to put it back the way it was, it cost millions.
