XIM is now XDX and still exists, they just consolidated vendors. Many Xerox India employees were re-badged to Wipro (about 150) but re-badging did not hit XDX US staff to my knowledge (who sit in SE area of 111). There have been persistent rumors of layoffs in XDX like every where else. Naresh (who was hired as CIO and is now CTO as well) since he got here said he would be announcing his organization in May so like everything i assume there will be some cuts made. I have heard more in middle management

Hearing of more sizable layoffs in the next several weeks in addition to the reorg. Anyone heard the same?
Bummer. I thought Atos was a great company to work with.
A quite fair question is who is performing cibersecurity today? There is virtually no incident response function except for 1 junior analyst. Things appear to be running smoothly in that area with already dozens of voluntary and a handful of involuntary in last 14 months. Not Ayn is on to a wild threading elsewhere, noting the group can run on 5-8 d2 level blokes whilst CISO sources those offshore. That’s my own tuppenceworth for the good of the order.
To JOHN GALT: An easy calculation is to figure that total IT costs as a % of revenue are targeted to be 1%. Then figure security is a percentage of the remaining. For a company not interesting to most threat actors, that’s a single digit number. Now look at how many InfoSec people are in XDX. Divide that by 4 and you come up with the number of people needed in GSS. That number squares up nicely with the IT spend per revenue calculated number. Calculating based on employee headcount and mfg industry benchmarks and the number needed is even lower. I wouldn’t want to be in that group for the June actions predicted by others.
Shifting from one offshore cheap labor company to another
You mean Atos won't be able to open and close tickets without doing anything to fix the problem?
Does this mean there is no XIM? Who is doing information security?
Might have been “great support” where you are but it s---s for many of us. ANYTHING will be an improvement.
Don’t forget TCS.
Yes, as of midnight. Sad because the existing vendors provided great support. Wipro has a huge learning curve and pretty sure they have no idea what sh*t they just inherited. Good luck! Thanks to the former vendors, Atos, Birlasoft, IBM for the service provided.
