Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Big Mistake : (

I don’t get how many more people they will lay-off in the stores. What I do know is that it is a huge mistake. What separates bbb from online shopping was their customer service and expertise on products. Stores have empty shelves. Is it because product isn’t coming in or is it because there are no associates to do it. I really hope that this change for the company is good because it would be really sad to see bbb go down : (

The big mistake was made in Aug 2017 when bbb sacrificed the workers otherwise known as dept mgrs. Stores look like heck, stock levels are a joke and most mgmt but not all are ridiculous. Why are any of you qualified mgrs still there, there’s a better life outside of bbb.

I think bbb is getting what they deserve, going down

I’m not sure what other stores are experiencing but my shelves are fairly empty and my stockrooms seem pretty full.

I don’t think it’s an ordering issue - it’s a “don’t have enough payroll to fill the shelves” issue.

I agree. Get the hours back to the stores who make the company money. Cut the top dogs who do nothing. The shelves are empty do to the new way of ordering and trying to lower inventory levels in the stores.

BBB should be on a big comeback now that ST and the greedy founders are gone. The customers are loyal.
