20 Years later my wife is gone. Politics where chosen not achievements etc. Her name stands alone Our house gave the best to Ge and now a cut of 10 Admins in Power. Not low paid and low abilities. Higher paid that made their bosses able to perform at a better level Everyone that says fake new look over your shoulder. People have said it is best to be gone form GE She has said no she is just devastated It was her life. There is no fake news her.

Again focus is on the wrong place..... admins and engineers instead of completely over paid CEO’s that destroy companies for their own monetary gain at the expense of everyone ... focus on that instead of the easier low placed fruit... no one is worth 20 million a year especially when they’ve put the largest corporation in the world strapped for cash..off the DOW... and stock prices near the gutter.... pensions not funded while purchasing stock buy backs to artificially prop the share price.... and calling lies ... verbal typos.... verbal typos? Really? Good gosh!
Circa 2005 - I remember an admin ( for an engineering GM) in Greenville ( GTTC) with a pay of $85k . She had left her pay slip at the printer , and a friend found it . The irony is that the person who found it had a masters in engineering ( early in their career) and was getting paid $20k less than the admin :-) If that admin got 2% annual raise , then she shou,d be making $110k now .
I didn’t miss the point a 20 million dollar a year POS CEO could be replaced anytime for a much much less salary ..Perhaps if their pay were cut you all may not have underfunded pensions.... ???? small minds go for the smaller pay scale reductions...put them prison where they belong.... they squandered your pensions ... I’d be ticked but I left ..... thank God...
@Z4c8hRX-2ftw, you miss the whole point, a $ 100K admin can be replaced at half the cost and not in 1:1 fashion.
First of all stop your swearing to God... those admins are the only reason the so called leaders... can find their own A$$es!!!! 100k? Heck they deserve the mega Lottery for putting up with such incompetent POS...
Swear to god, I worked at GE until a few years and knew an Admin that made over $ 100K. Knew a few more that made over $ 80K. How the hell is that "market based" pay?
Yes we always say you will be better off.... I left on my own ... spun that meatball on my way out... life is better ... jobs are better... insurance better... vacation (real vacation) better! Pay! Much better !!!!
So tell your loved one 20 years... don’t give your life to corrupt corporations... remember their karma is coming! Oh it’s coming....and we will get to watch...
Be proud and thankful for family children grand babies... things that really matter.... chin up .....

More layoffs in the works for Power steam business
she was lucky to hang on this long, admins at other Power sites, Schenectady, Greenville were already gone a few months ago
