Hav to say that this is the first time in my long-time career that I’ve seen thi. Nearly half of my team left the company willingly in the timeframe of one month? I have a couple of ,onths until i reach my pension , so that thought hasn’t crossed my mind. I would like to know if other parts of the company are facing similar levels of attrition?

The team I'm on all rebadged to HCL. We havent had anyone leave and havent seen any of the depts around us lose employees either. Seems it's more GIS/XBS who are losing their staff...but not surprising since their jobs are being offshored.
In my group I have seen six people leave on their own accord within the last month. We would typically see waves where a couple people would leave but this is more than usual. Their positions are being backfilled by current employees so more to do with less as usual.
All the products don't come from Fuji Xerox.
Production hardware and software is done mostle by Webster engineering. The A3 hardware mostly, not not all, comes from Fuji Xerox but Xerox engineering develops the controller for it.
Carnage here in a large midwestern core. Two large finance teams have lost 80%+ of their employees. Open cubes, empty parking lots. Sad. And HCL is incapable of bringing people on board in a quick manner because they are incompetent - or maybe candidates are reading the reviews on Glassdoor and avoiding these jobs? We used to have someone in the Marketing Department that would reply to the negative reviews. That person quit a few weeks ago!!!!
If all the products come from FujiXerox, what does “Webster Engineering” do?
I work in a XBS core and have no interaction with Webster employees.
In Webster engineering, I have seen no direct layoffs and very little attrition, the latter of which is very surprising considering the current state.
In Webster bldg 111 while we have experienced significant layoffs more people have resigned than been laid off. Especially individuals who are the main income earners, have children in or going into college or in instances where both spouses are employed by Xerox. In addition to employees who want their RIGP in a lump sem payout, that is more at risk than keeping your job right now. The writing is on the wall get out as our jobs are all being outsourced to India and Guatemala.
@Z18R3n1-jjt No, I do not think things will improve. However, I can only speak for myself. My job isn’t in immediate danger. Plus, my financial situation is such that even if I was let go tomorrow, I would not need to get a job right away. Again, I can only speak for myself. I do not know why others are staying.
In Webster there’s been a constant trickle of lay-off’s & resignations since August. Lots of jobs moving overseas. It seems that most of the people still there are looking.
“But some of us are taking a "wait and see" approach.”
I’m just curious. What are you waiting for? What will you see?
Do you think it’s possible that things will improve?
It seems to be different at each (XBS) core. We've lost about 10% of our workforce since Feb 1st. Some top-level sales people, our HR director, a handful of the rebadged to HCL folks, some warehouse people, etc. It's been a mix of people. I'd say most of the people who have left did so either directly or indirectly because of the state of the company. In some ways, I'm surprised by who has stayed. But some of us are taking a "wait and see" approach.
I have no idea how they are going to hire anyone considering what shambles the company is in. The healthcare alone could scare off potential candidates.
