This is absolutely true,it's a real shame because GM could be great only if people did the right thing. All the work I did was for nothing.

Having worked there in powertrain for a handful of years on the small blocks, I can assure you that they learned nothing from the ignition recall, nor from the bankruptcy. Everything is shady there. Then there is the CSS program - a gigantic ball of bull excretion! Lots of politics and buddy favors. A lot of thermal issues with the exhaust and turbos on those engines. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from all turbocharged & supercharged engines from GM. Directors are aware of it, but they don't care. To them, it's covered under warranty.

I even complained on GM Awareline website about it, but not sure why nothing was done about it.

@Z0zJifg-3rwy What are these "mistakes" of which you speak?

You will never meet a group of people with more egocentric and groupthink cognitive bias than GM management. Recall that this is the same group of people who thought that Opel was a premium brand in Europe, competing with the likes of Mercedes, and failed to recognize that the European consumers saw it as an entry-level brand, well below Ford and VW.

Their decisions are good, because they're the ones that made them.

GM tried to learn from the ignition switch, and actually HAD TO make changes when the independent monitor was around. Now that the monitor is gone, things are back to normal.
