Schlumberger hates anyone under G10 as it perceives them to be uneducated. Instead Schlumberger relies heavily on management with degrees from the Ivy League......these are the same people who have managed to navigate Schlumberger to a nearly 50% drop in share price in a year. Even if G10 and under get thrown some crumbs, do you really think that a 1.5% raise is going to make any perceivable difference to your take-home?

Heaven forbid they be asked to communicate in the international language of business.
Managers at SLB enjoy embarrassing junior employees who do not speak English well. These folks are often assigned tasks that must be done in English and often in front of other people or entered into systems that won't allow any editing. These employees are afraid their poor English will be used to fire them. This is the definition of a Hostile Work Environment.
That’s true most of management came through the promotion system. To survive this system you have to be a “yes” person following the leaders no matter how stupid is the idea from above 61
That's why the performance of these managers is so poor, irrelevant educational qualifications, poor technical knowledge together with a very low level of people management.
Not surprising the company performance is so bad, the downward trend will continue unless a major change to forward ,realistic thinking is made very soon, wake up or slowly decline. So much money has been wasted on useless so called magic solutions that have delivered nothing I.E. Engage to Exel is a typical example.
Reward and respect your staff equally , whether they hold degrees or not, this elitism is detrimental to the many people employed by SLB today it's out of date and limiting for both staff and company.
Cool story bro. But nobody in or around executive management have degrees from the Ivy League. They are international and/or have come up through the Schlumberger system from rather plain educational background.
