The IBEW 311 is a bunch of b--ches. All are local guys do is go to Vegas every year and get free cell phones on the people paying dues expense. There is ZERO need for them. They have a PICINIC every year on Saturday afternoon when 99% of the the members are at work! They throw most of the food away that the members paid for. It’s a legal way to steal!!! Abolish unions not jobs!!!

if you feel so inclined to wildcat strike out of the rules of arbitration agreement go ahead and I'll be the first to laugh at you when they pull you off the line and cart you off to jail and then sue you for loss of income for the rest of your life.
Yes the union is powerless to stop the company from laying off membership, Yes the union holds a subservient role under the rule of the corporation.
But isn't that exactly what you voted for when voting for politicians that put business first and promote businessman as politicians.
How many of you know what the taft-hartley ACT is and if you do have you ever tried to get any support to repeal that law? Of course not!
Just hope your union will be around to call you back work, if you think the union cheats you don't pay your dues after you are laid off and get on building your mulit million dollar empire.
I think the person who made that statement is a union rep. Everyone else understands the union is useless when it comes to serious issues. They just have to do what the company says or the Company will stop collecting the dues for them. They do not want to go from employee to employee trying to collect their own money. By federal law we cannot strike or sit down. The only power the union has is what the Company gives them. And great contracts are forged from leverage and power. The Union has neither. The union is a charity case with a tin can begging for rights. Union rep receive paid days off (paid from union dues), nice meals, parties, promotions to management and are not handled like other employees. The only way to feel the union's power is to become a rep. I think I will.
