Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

List of locations where Windstream wants out of its lease

Windstream can choose to accept or reject leases in chapter 11. It's either / or -- unless the owner wants to negotiate, Windstream has to accept 100% the current terms or reject outright.

Windstream filed a list of 30+ locations where they seek to get out of their lease:

This does not include the big Uniti lease.

Doesn't automation require really good information in the records databases? I'm a customer following this message board and it sounds like there are problems with the quality of Windstream's records.

I would worry that poorly implemented automation would create more problems than it solves. Also, while it's important to cut costs to help the bottom line, "you can't have much of a bottom line if you don't have a top line" - as in you screw up and lose a bunch of customers.

Windstream is planning on heavy automation as part of the go forward plan. Customers can order service online wo a rep and provisioning will be automated and contractors will handle the install. Don’t forget about outsourced repair.

2 offices and 2 switch sites here in Rochester. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I would expect both to be consolidated in the next few months.

I know they have been wanting out of the lease in Greenville or they want to use floors for free. The building personal got sick of it and made us move. 4 years of free and saying, nope we want to build out another floor. That never happened. They did move us so I finally stopped getting rained due to the ceiling leaking

I just noticed at the end of the filing Windstream says they're no longer using any of these locations. Monthly rent > 900k
